First Readiness Conference

Next for the felony homicide, murder, manslaughter, rape, grand theft, robbery, or any other felony case is the Readiness Conference preliminary hearing setting or settlement conference. This is generally the first opportunity to obtain discovery in your case (police report and/or other investigation performed by law enforcement). These Superior Court proceedings may need to be continued so that your San Diego felony attorney can better evaluate the felony charges and potentially negotiate with the prosecution to resolve the felony case.

As your lawyer, we know that one of the mitigating factors in the sentencing process that works favorably for our clients in reducing punishment is when the defendant enters into a plea bargain before the next step, the Preliminary Hearing. We will discuss all of the alternatives so you make an informed decision as to how to proceed with your felony case.
